FOODWORKS REOPENS MARKET CAFE 300 IN DOWNTOWN CHICAGO, FEATURING LOCAL RESTAURANTS

New cafe at 300 N. LaSalle provides local restaurateurs locale to reach corporate dining community, just in time as the workplace continues to return

As companies continue return to their offices and reevaluate employee needs in a post-pandemic workplace, Chicago-based FOODWORKS is pleased to fully launch Market Cafe 300 powered by FOODWORKS. Located at 300 N. LaSalle, Market Cafe powered by FOODWORKS is a customizable dining experience that supports local restaurants and artisans by providing them the brick-and-mortar location, while simultaneously providing local and delicious dining options to corporate employees.

“We are excited to offer our streamlined concept and technology that meets the needs of our modern workplaces,” said John Coker, FOODWORKS’ president. “Knowing that the work climate has changed from what it looked like pre-pandemic, we wanted to offer a new experience with the Market Cafe concepts, and are proud to say that its central location and a diversity of options accomplish that.”

The new corporate dining concept helps local restaurants, farmers and artisans who were affected by COVID-19 get back on their feet and provide them with a way to restart their services. Initial partners for the Market Cafe 300 powered by FOODWORKS include Chicago favorites like Manny’s Coffee Shop, Olive Mediterranean Grill and Freddie’s Italian Eatery. The Market Cafe 300 will also support local farmers and artisans through pop-up events such as farmer’s market featuring local produce and goods.

A rotating list of local partners will be joined by a hybrid grab-and-go market and cafe serving sandwiches, salads, and artisan baked goods. Market Cafe 300 is a completely contact-less and cost-effective dining solution. Guests scan and pay for all their items and leave. They also have the choice of using the FOODWORKS app to order and pick up from a designated shelf onsite, avoiding interactions and maintaining necessary social distancing.

FOODWORKS seeks out a diverse selection of local restaurants that share their same culinary drive, customer service excellence and quality assurance standards. The team carefully selects, vets and approves restaurant partners in the Chicagoland and Midwest market to feature area favorites, who are then supported by local FOODWORKS area scouts who identify, meet, evaluate, and qualify all potential partners. Their support teams are on hand to provide marketing, technology, social media, and operational support, ensuring personal customer service throughout the process.
