Getting hotter in Phoenix

Phoenix is hot, pun intended, and FOODWORKS is feeling it. The downtown area of this desert town is experiencing a development boom, its biggest one since the 1960s, with a record number of commercial, residential, retail and hotel projects in the works, according to community development experts. Living, shopping, entertaining and eating in and around Phoenix just keeps getting better, both for locals as well as those in the community such as our FOODWORKS restaurants partners who are major contributors to the local scene.


Indeed, the city saw a record-breaking number of new restaurants open in 2018. That’s great news for foodies who get to savor eclectic dining options ranging from Arabic to Vietnamese food, and for our FOODWORKS scouts, who are always on the lookout for fresh, exciting restaurants to showcase. From The Churchill, a collection of restaurants and shops carved out of a series of shipping containers, to the brief stretch of North 7th Street that some are calling the city’s new restaurant row, to the stalwart and still stellar Pizzeria Bianco, Phoenix’s growing food scene has something for everyone.
